What are Content Credentials?
Content Credentials are signed records attached to some media files. When a record validates and declares AI use, it is stronger evidence than a visual guess.
A valid record describes this file's history
A verifier checks signatures and whether the record still matches the file. The record can describe creation or editing actions provided by a compatible tool.
SUREvAI uses a valid AI declaration as a direct signal in its image result.
No record is not evidence of a camera photo
Many cameras and editing tools do not add Content Credentials. Sharing or transforming a file can remove or break a record. Missing or invalid credentials leave the origin unresolved.
Check claims, not identities
A record can verify that a signer made specific assertions. It does not by itself establish that the depicted event happened or that every statement in the picture is true.
