How to check a suspected Midjourney image

A verified creator record can directly support an origin claim when it exists. Visual patterns can only indicate that an image resembles AI-generated content.

Copies may behave differently
Cropping, screenshots, social uploads, and recompression can strip provenance or change the patterns the model sees. The same scene can score differently across versions of the file.
